Marshal Tjahjanto, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), has ordered the mobilization of troops and the First Weapons Control Agency (Alutsista) to carry out relief operations in the typhoons of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

“As of today, I have ordered the dispatch of (military ship) KRI OWA-354 to assist the humanitarian aid from the Health Ministry and Social Affairs Ministry to the location of the disaster in NTT and NTB,” said the TNI Commander at the East Jakarta Halim Perdanakusuma airstrip on April 6.
In addition to gathering military ships, the TNI has sent Hercules C-130 and helicopters to assist disaster relief efforts and evacuate victims and survivors. In addition, the TNI will also deploy two military battalions, Kodam IX / Udayana Bali and Kodam XIV / Hasanuddin Makassar, to support humanitarian operations.
